You will see routine inspection reports for all food premises, high risk personal services settings, licensed child care settings, public pools, spas, wading pools, small drinking water systems, and recreational camps. You will also see enforcement-related activities for these premises, such as convictions and orders.
Information is also available about tobacco and electronic cigarette vendors who have been convicted of an offense.
What information will the inspection report tell me?
The inspection report will describe the conditions of the premises on the date of the inspection but does not guarantee ongoing compliance. Details include all non-compliant issues and any actions taken by the public health inspector.
How long are inspection and enforcement results available online?
Inspection results will be available online for 2 years while results for small drinking water system results are kept for up to 8 years. After this, information will be removed from our site if a business permanently closes or changes ownership. We maintain enforcement-related activities online for 2 years.

Consideration to share information not available through the Check Before You Go! disclosure site is conducted on an individual basis and in accordance with privacy legislation and internal policies. Please contact us for additional information.
Who inspects the establishments listed on the Check Before You Go! website?
Public health inspectors inspect certain premises located within the Sudbury and Manitoulin districts to make sure they comply with legislative requirements.
Our smoke-free Ontario act enforcement officers are responsible for inspecting facilities regulated by the Smoke-Free Ontario Act.
How can you file a complaint?
Public health inspectors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to respond to public health emergencies. Contact us to file a complaint. Electronic complaints will be dealt with on the next regular business day.
